Seers' Village Courthouse | Completion of Quest King's Ransom, 65 Attack to Prosecute, 65 Defence to Defend | Yes |
Court Cases are an interesting D&D that lets players go to court and either defend, or prosecute a Runescape NPC for a crime. To start, go to the Court house in Seers' Village and speak with the Clerk, who is found in the lobby of the court house. The first time you play, you will be given the case of Mugger (Level 6).
After that, you must obtain Court Summons on your own and present them to the Clerk. Court Summons can be obtained from monster drops, pickpocketed from NPCs, rewarded from treasure trials and from opening caskets. One of the fastest ways to obtain Summons is to pickpocket Al-Kharid Warriors (Level 9).
Court Summons can only be obtained one at a time, and can only be taken to court once every two weeks. You can get them in any order, and each provides different rewards.
Starting off with your Court Summons, the Clerk will let you choose to either defend (65 Defence) or prosecute (65 Attack). (In the images shown below, the player chose to defend, but neither is easier or better than the other.)

Search the drawers near to the clerk to obtain 3 case reports. The first case report contains the fingerprints. You can see if the Culprit's fingerprints match the defendant's. If they match, you should remember that for court.
If you are defending, you should not mention that the fingerprints match. If prosecuting, be sure to use the fingerprints as evidence if they match.

The second case report includes background of the case and evidence.
Be sure to be familiar with your case before you begin the trial, for many of the pieces of evidence can be useful.

The third case report is similar to the second one, providing information about all of the characters involved in the case.
These are the people you can call to speak during the trial.

Once you are familiar with the case, you may go downstairs and begin the trial!
The opposing side (defender or prosecuter, depending on what you didn't choose) will speak first. Afterward, you may begin presenting your case.

When you present your case, you may call a witness or present evidence by talking to the judge.
The goal is to speak to people, or present evidence that would help prove your case.
When you pick a witness, be sure to ask questions that get the information you want.

Whenever you do something well for your case, the jury will nod their heads and agree.
On the other hand, when you do something that doesn't help your case, the jury will shake their heads and discuss their thoughts.

After you finish presenting your case, you may choose to summarize your case.
Here, you pick a jury member to sympathize your case with.
Pick someone who would agree with your client. For example, when defending a mugger, pick a shady criminal to sympathize to. Afterward, your jury will make a decision.

If you either prosecuted or defended, you will still receive the same reward for a case.
Though, if you defended, you will be rewarded Defence exp, and if you prosecuted, you will be rewarded Attack exp.
The amount of experience granted depends on the case you receive, as does the item reward. For example, the Mime case will reward players the Faint emote.
